十一 [video/action for Goldenrod]

[The video feed pops on to...a shot of someone's hand, so close up it's blocking all the light. Intro of darkness then redness then lightness!

...to a two story house on the outskirts of Goldenrod, the lower level extended and flat-roofed, with a railed balcony. There's a fenced backyard, not overly large, with plenty of trees.

And then the camera turns to Ken's face, looking immensely satisfied with himself.]

So, I thought it kinda sucked staying in the inn all the time, right? And there's a lot of us, it gets expensive too.

...well, long story short, I found a house to rent. Just picked up the keys. So, Ran, Mamoru, Youji, Chloe, Aya-chan--whenever you guys are ready, you can bring your stuff over from the inn.

[ She just laughs, packing up her things. ] Aw, you mean I don't get first pick as the only girl in the group? [ I never said she wouldn't play up her charm and wiles once in a while.

Not that she has a great deal left to pack up, she started before she replied.

Just her breeders journal, her hair brush, and Saki-- who is NOT going back into her Pokeball. Nope.

[Why take the time to call? Mamoru will just be showing up a short time later with his things. Shiro, chittering excitedly, takes off towards the house like it's the world's largest Pokésnack. Mamoru eyes it appreciatively before joining Ken.]

I'm impressed. It's a beautiful house.

And it's big enough. That was the hardest thing, really.

[Ken grins, moving to stand beside Mamoru and throw an arm over his shoulder.]

Well, we'll have more privacy now at least. And it'll be a hell of a lot cheaper than renting rooms for everyone.

[Mamoru can only imagine the frustration that had to go into finding a house with enough private room spaces for all of them. He's admittedly taken off-guard when Ken throws an arm around him, but the gesture brings an appreciative smile to his face. He can almost imagine it's like being Omi again.]

That's true. I'm very in favor of such an arrangement. The roof patio is a nice touch.
